After many more workdays - with twenty beds built, three loads of woodchips spread, 25 cubic yards of soil moved, and dozens of native plants and other pollinator-attracting plants put in the ground - the garden is getting ready.
From the beginning, our vision was for this space to work with nature, to be made and maintained with organic practices, so both the plants growing here and the pollinators that visit will have what they need to sustainably thrive.
As with any garden, the work will never end. Organic gardening certainly comes with its set of challenges, but we believe it is worth it. And it is so exciting to see how things have come together.
Here are a few pictures from the past several workdays.
